BRASÍLIA. Indicado para uma cadeira no Superior Tribunal Militar (STM), o general Raymundo Nonato de Cerqueira Filho disse ontem que as Forças Armadas não devem aceitar a presença de gays e sugeriu que eles procurem outras atividades, longe dos quartéis. Ele afirmou que a tropa se recusaria a acatar ordens de um homossexual.
As declarações foram dadas na Comissão de Constituição e Justiça do Senado, que aprovou sua nomeação para o STM.
Referindo-se aos gays como “indivíduos desse tipo”, Cerqueira Filho disse que eles não inspiram respeito dos soldados: — O indivíduo não consegue comandar.
A tropa fatalmente não vai obedecer.
Isso está provado. Não é que o indivíduo seja criminoso, e sim o tipo de atividade.
Se ele é assim, talvez haja outro ramo de atividade que ele possa desempenhar.
O oficial admitiu a existência de gays nos quartéis, mas disse que eles só devem ser aceitos se mantiverem a opção sexual em segredo: — Nós sabemos que existem, mas não sabemos quem. Se ele mantém a dignidade, honra a sua farda e não há conhecimento oficial, não vejo problema. No entanto, não é compatível um indivíduo assim com o trabalho nas Forças Armadas.
